Rich in Culture. Upbeat Economy.
Responsive Governance. Reshaping the Future.
There is more to Minglanilla than meets the eye. Like a giant rising from decades of slumber, it is now flexing its muscles, showing the public what it is capable of.
The town’s ideal location has attracted an influx of investors in residential development, naturally bringing with it an in-migration of people who are now Minglanillahanons by choice.
Developments in the residential, commercial, light industrial, and industrial industries are booming in Minglanilla, and will continue to be so with multi-billion projects planned for implementation.
Beyond mere survival, play is important for a balanced life. In Minglanilla, the Municipal Government is aware of this and endeavors to achieve a status as the best town for recreational activities.
We are poised to become Cebu's next vibrant city
Minglanilla used to be a barangay of the then Municipality and now City of Naga. It was founded as a municipality in 1858.
The place was formerly called “Buat”, a local word for “Bulad” or dried fish. Now an urban center, it is located 15 kilometers from the Capitol building in Cebu City, between the cities of Talisay and Naga.
